With the Labor Day holiday this past weekend, summer has officially ended. For those of us in Los Angeles, we are grateful to have amazing weather year round. However, despite the fact that we are able to wear a tee shirt and shorts in December, the end of the summer season does transition us out of the laid back lifestyle. BBQs, pool parties, and beach excursions fade through Fall and before you know it the cliché summertime activities are no longer in occurrence. Thankfully fall is beautiful on the west coast — and what an amazing summer this year has been.
Eager to soak up the last few days of summer, this weekend I decided to head down to Venice for an afternoon bike ride. Equipped with an awesome beach cruiser from Linus Bikes, I had a blast traversing the streets of Venice. Easily my favorite neighborhood in Los Angeles in terms of design and architecture, it is easy to lose track of time enjoying a summer afternoon in the canals and on the boardwalk.
For my afternoon bike adventure I went full out Californian – sporting Band Of Outsiders’ Chateau Marmont tee with light washed jeans from 7 For All Mankind - paired with classic Chuck Taylor Converse and a Miansai bracelet.
