Its official - summer 2015 has been the hottest summer to date. I’ve been trying to be conscious of the amount of energy I use by only sparingly cranking the AC, but with temperatures rising it’s proving to be more and more of a challenge. The best way to beat the summer heat I’ve found is by throwing on a pair of trunks, getting out of the house and heading to the nearest available body of water.
During June, July and August my weekend garb pretty much exclusively consists of tees, sandals and swim trunks. When it comes to swim trunks, I love to sport fun colorful patterns. The shirt and shorts I’m wearing in this shoot are by a brand called Bluemint. Bluemint was founded four years ago by Dogu Turkmen after his search for all day, easy to wear summer clothes that allow you to travel poolside to bar in style without changing.
Their swim trunks are a great tailored fit and come in a ton of different patterns and colors. And if you aren’t able find the exact color or pattern you’re looking for, Bluemint offers full customization and allows you to create the prints of your choice by uploading images to their site.
In order to keep track of time in the summer sun, I wear my MSTR watch. MSTR is an awesome L.A. based brand, whose timepieces push the boundaries of contemporary fashion without compromising traditional craftsmanship. Paired with classic Ray Ban aviators and comfy Birkenstocks, I’m keeping it as cool as I can in these scorching temperatures.
