The “Louis Vuitton Series 2 – Past, Present and Future” Exhibition opened this weekend here in Los Angeles, and it did not disappoint! The unconventional exhibit invites visitors to journey through the mind of Nicolas Ghesquière as he prepared his for his third ready-to-wear show as Creative Director of the house of Vuitton.
The exhibition allows visitors to discover some of the inspirations behind his collection, as well as grasp how he approaches and reinterprets stylistic codes at the 160 year-old luxury fashion house. Visitors are able to explore how Ghesquière vision inspires his current collection and how it will shape the future of Louis Vuitton.
The entrance to the exhibit is a neon sign of an LV logo – the seal of the founder of Louis Vuitton.
One of my favorite rooms was the “Magic Trunk” – which shows arguably the house’s most recognizable product - in holographic projections. - mixing past inspirations, current designs, and future ideas.
I also loved the “Infinite Show Room” which was a 360-degree projection room showing all looks from the Spring 2015 collection.
The exhibit is open to the public open daily from 10am – 6pm at 1135 North Highland Ave. If you find yourself in Los Angeles between now and February 22nd, be sure and check it! Before it heads to Beijing.
