Earlier this week, I attended Project Vegas in Sin City. While you could spend weeks wondering around all the pop-up showrooms, I kept my eyes alert for upcoming styles and covered what I could in the limited amount of time. During my time I noticed several emerging trends for Spring/Summer 2015.
The first of which -- moto jeans. This Balmain look appeared to be a part of most premium denim brand lines. Personally I love it! There’s something badass and rock ‘n roll that this motorcycle cut gives off. Pictured are Hudson Jeans -- in an array of colors and washes -- as well as True Religion’s Rocco Moto.
Another reoccurring trend this season was the bomber. Although, cuts seemed to be a slightly more tailored and form fitting like the above jackets from Clover Canyon and Mackage.
One of the biggest trends I noticed -- comfy fits. The focus appeared to be on function and feel! From jogger style jeans to jackets, everything seemed to implement French terry, cashmere, or some sort of elastic material. You couldn't find a raw selvedge jean to save your life – and let’s face it – who’s complaining?!?
The lining on the 7 For All Mankind jeans and jacket made them feel as good as wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt, yet allow one to maintain a “dressed” look. The same goes for the Big Star's jogger jeans.
Comfort was key -- down to Del Toro’s meme on pop culture emoji slippers. Overall, the show couldn’t have been more exciting – fully looking forward to trends of Spring / Summer 2015.
